At the beginning of the year 2022, I was going through a time of change. We decided with the guitar player Thomas Petit to work on some songs, that we had started during the lockdown, by distance. This was our second period of working together. Our first project took place from 2008 to 2011, time where we recorded an album and played a lot in Germany. His son was entering the American school as drummer, so, we offered him to join us, by trying to play on those songs. Alchemy was immediate. 

I didn't want to talk about those changing and bad situations and feelings in the texts. On the contrary, I wanted to concentrate on these small (or big...) moments in life between people, that makes your day. I wanted to talk about the characters that go accross your life.​ ​

Au début de l’a nnée 2022, je traversais une phase de bouleversements personnels. Le guitariste Thomas Petit, m’a proposé de reprendre des morceaux qu’on avait commencés pendant les mois de confinement, à distance. C'était notre deuxième période de travail ensemble. La première avait eu lieu entre 2008 et 2011. Nous avions enregistré un disque, Occident 2.0, et effectué beaucoup de concerts, notamment en Allemagne. Son fils Vincent entrait à l’American School comme batteur et j’ai proposé qu’il essaye de jouer sur les trois titres qu’on avait maintenant. L’alchimie a été instantanée. On s’est mis à travailler ensemble et on a créé d’autres morceaux.

Je ne voulais pas parler de rupture, ni de sentiments négatifs, dans les textes. Je voulais me concentrer sur ce qui me raccrochait à la vie, les moments du quotidien, ces rencontres, ces sourires échangés, qui illuminent vos journées. Parler de ces personnages qui croisent votre route.

Before working for the 7#08 CLUB's project, Thomas Petit used to play guitar in different bands (Um, with whom they recorded 2 albums), and made music for dancers, after having studied at CIM school of music,

Vincent Petit was a student at the American School,

Matthieu Davette used to write (novels, biography of Arcade Fire published at Le mot et le reste, and short texts in Passage d'Encre and Vacarme), be a photographer (for choregraphs and dancers), worked as actor for Eric Rohmer, and also created musics for films (Eric Rohmer, Laetitia Lambert).

Avant de s'impliquer dans 7#08 CLUB, Thomas Petit a été guitariste dans plusieurs groupes (dont UM qui a sorti 2 albums), et fait de la musique pour de la danse, après avoir étudié la musique au CIM à Paris,

Vincent Petit a été élève à l'Américan School,

Matthieu Davette a écrit des romans et publié la biographie d'Arcade Fire au Mot et le  Reste, ainsi que des textes dans Passage d'Encre et Vacarme, été photographe pour la danse contemporaine, été acteur pour Eric Rohmer, et a créé quelques musiques de films (Eric Rohmer, Laetitia Lambert).
